School Liaison

Coordinator: Jim LaMorte

The School Liaison is a volunteer position with three primary responsibilities:
- Connect schools with sources of information, materials and expertise.
- Advise schools on on emergency program development.
- Ensure liaison among the schools, the Oak Bay Emergency Program and School District 61 in emergency mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

The District of Oak Bay has 10 schools within its borders:

Preschools
• Island Montessori Preschool (held at Uplands School)
• Gonzales Preschool Co-operative (held at Willows Elementary School)
• Oak Bay Parent Participation Preschool (held at St.Mary's Church)
• St. Christopher's Montessori (Currie Street)

Elementary Schools
• Monterey Elementary
• Uplands Elementary
• Willows Elementary
• Glenlyon-Norfolk
• St. Michaels Jr. Campus
• Margaret Jenkins Elementary (Oak Bay catchment area)

Secondary School

• Oak Bay Secondary School (8-12)

Meetings:
Meetings with each of the schools will be held periodically, with no set schedule. If your school has a committee meeting planned, and you would like the School Liaison to attend, please contact Jim LaMorte at
