Who We
Are
The Oak Bay Emergency Program is a non-profit volunteer organization, serving the
emergency assistance needs of the Oak Bay community.
We are building a trained and capable disaster-response team of fire and police
services, municipal staff
and volunteers from the community who are prepared to respond in an emergency.
We provide information to the public about emergency preparedness. We also
provide free training in various areas such as radio communications, emergency management,
search and rescue. Various partner agencies provide this training including the
Red Cross, Salvation Army, St. John Ambulance, Justice Institute, the provincial
government ministry responsible for emergency preparedness, Search and Rescue Victoria,
amateur radio clubs, and many others.
