Public Information Night - Preparing for Change: Reducing Vulnerabilities in the CRD
What are the environmental, economic and social impacts of climate
change and how does this relate to the need for risk reduction, capacity
building, emergency planning, and preparedness?
This session will explore the relationship between climate impacts and emergency
programs and how at the citizen and community levels we can prepare for climate
change.
Learn how the Capital Regional District is supporting citizens and
municipalities through its Climate Action Program and receive tips, information
and ideas for taking action today.
Presented By: Lee Johnson, from the CRD Climate Action Program.

Emergency preparedness in Oak Bay is about neighbours helping neighbours.
The first step however is being personally prepared to enable you and your family
to be self-sufficient for a minimum of seven days after a major emergency or disaster.
Emergency Preparedness Begins With You! is a two-hour workshop
that provides detailed information and practical application to individual and family
emergency preparedness.
